Summer Day Camp at Rock Forge Neighborhood House-- 2010 Summer Day camp is offered all summer long Monday-Friday for children in Pre-K and up. We are so excited to spend another program year at the Sabraton Community Center! Not only do we now have a gymnasium and commercial-equipped kitchen, but also larger classrooms and a large ball-field out back with plenty of room for kids to play. Our dedicated and qualified staff are busy planning fun and engaging enrichment activities including recreation, sports, guest speakers, field trips, swimming, and more. We have a fun theme every week that is always educational, but is sure to beat summer boredom for kids! Our Drop-off Time is now 30 minutes earlier! We will open at 6:00am and parent pick-up is until 6:00pm. A healthy breakfast, lunch, and snack are served daily and are included with the cost. Registration for Summer Day camp will begin for the public Monday, March 29, 2010 (Monday March 15, 2010 for families already enrolled in one of our programs) and spots fill up fast! We can enroll 60 children this year. Be sure to contact us to save a spot for your child by completing the registration form below (coming soon!) and returning with a $25.00 non-refundable registration fee (total per family). Children entering a Pre-K program in Monongalia County in Fall 2010 (school-based or in a childcare center) are eligible for Summer Day Camp. They must be 4 years old by June 1, 2010 and enrollment will be accepted on a provisional basis until proof of Pre-K enrollment is provided to RFNH. Program dates: We are tentatively scheduled to open on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 (or the first day after Monongalia County schools dismiss). Summer Day Camp is expected to end on Friday, August 20, 2010, however; because the county's school calendar has not yet been released, this is tentative also. RFNH will try to operate Summer Day Camp this year right up until the day before school starts to accommodate working families. Summer Day Camp will be closed Monday, July 5, 2010 for Independence Day. We are finalizing program fees and policies at this time. Weekly rates are expected to be less than $80.00 per child. Reduced rates will be available for low-income families and for siblings. For questions or more information, please contact our Program Manager, Hillary Adams at 304-292-3286 or
